Hi all,

I hope I'm writing to the right list...

I have an old Toshiba T1000 laptop with 512K mem, a tiny LCD, no HD
(actually does have a read-only HD with DOS 2.? on it)... I'm successfully
running DOS 3.3 on it.

Now, it seems like ELKS (and possibly Microwindows) might be able to bring
that machine back to being useful again. Or is ELKS still for testing &
hacking only? Also, I'd have to configure some "foreign" (to
some) keymaps. Hacking or just configuring?
I heard sed would run... Currently I use Eric Meyer's lovely
VDE, but I thought it would be nice to take DOS off my lap like I did
for Win on my desk recently.

So. Is ELKS ready for useful stuff?

Toby
