Even though you haven't specified the version of dosemu you are using, the cure would be to upgrade your dosemu, because it's a kind of a panacea for the problems like this one. Latest is 1.1.3.7 at the time of writing this message.
I am just starting out with Linux and hope in some way I can help with the developement of this program.
