The "Driver=(none)" means that the USB scanner driver did not recognize your
Perfection640 as a scanner that it supports. Did you provide the vendor and
product IDs as command line arguments to modprobe or as options in /etc/modules.conf?

add the following line to the file /etc/modules.conf:
