I have a Lacie Big Disk (500G) hooked up to an IBM T40 with USB 2.0. I am running Red Hat 9 with a vanilla 2.4.21 kernel, and a 2.5.67 kernel. Linux is telling me that the controller is indeed USB 2.0, but when I test the Lacie disk, I am only getting USB 1.1 speeds. If I run the same tests under the 2.5.67 kernel, I get the USB 2.0 speeds.
Is there something I am missing or not doing in order to make this device function correctly under 2.4.21? I cannot use any 2.5.xx kernel for my current applications. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
