Much of the time I think with Linux/USB it depends on your computer's
hardware - particularly chipsets such as VIA which seem to be common
and to cause problems.

That will always be a problem, as will those devices that don't meet
the USB specifications (yet often they claim to).

I believe it's the module loading/unloading that caused most of my
problems with 2.4 kernels.  I don't see any point in pursuing it with
2.6 on the way now, I'm looking forward to putting 2.6.0-pre3 through
its paces.  Just need a few more tuits... :)
