Hi All,
I've been using this same setup on my laptop without
problems. However, I recently updated my desktop (previously running
2.2.14 + older backport which was fine) to use this. I did enable verbose
debugging this time though and haven't before. Now all the devices are not
gound and a kernel Oops happens when I unload some modules. In addition,
the automatic loading I use (a init.d scripts and modules.conf
stuff) doesn't always work.
Also, while the uhci and usbcore modules are loaded dnetc client
goes from about 1.8Mkey/s to 1.1Mkey/s (per CPU, there are two). Hmm, I
wonder if that is the problem. While upgrading the kernel I also installed
another CPU. I've attached the dmesg output for loading and
unloading. Previously to this I had mounted /proc/bus/usb and rmmod'ed
usbcore and uhci, you'll see an oops from df due to this I think.
When I tried with 2.4.0-test1-ac7 everything looks fine but I
the printer doesn't actually print. I'll try to get more information about
this during the week.
I've also attached the oops I saw before while unloading (didn't
happen today).
