unfortunately the nix philosophy of using many small tools, each specific to 
one task rather than one monolithic tool stands in the way of developing such 
a thingie. Lakhs of progammers worldwide do fantastic stuff without these. 
The problem with integrated development enviornments is that the more 
sophisticated they get, the more the programmer is restricted to specific 
languages/frameworks/tools. In our world, we get much more freedom and 
flexibility - which leads to innovation and thinking out of the box.
