Please dismiss this "bug" report and accept my apologies if this
is the improper place to report.

Environment
-----------

client: epic5-0.3.9 (commit id:1554)

FreeBSD 7.1
intel pentium III, original oem, family 6, model 7
asus p2b-ve (hp pavilion 8570c)

ps/2 keyboard
client: epic5-1.0 (commit id:1581)

Synopsis
--------
Tested on the above 2 machines, as root and regular user
in both bash and sh environments, and in both console and xwindows.

Issue: Browsing input history with ctrl+p, up arrow, and/or down arrow.

Condition:
A) If I execute /usr/bin/epic5 with .ircrc available and
with empty parameters at the command line, client will not
recognize call for browsing input history using ctrl+p,
   up arrow, and/or down arrow.

B) If I execute /usr/bin/epic5 with .ircrc _unavailable_ and
any parameter passed at the command line, client will not
recognize the call for input history browsing with ctrl+p,
   up arrow, and down arrow.

C) If I execute /usr/bin/epic5 without .ircrc and empty parameters,
client will recognize ctrl+p, up and down arrows for browsing
input history. Also, the client will continue to recognize such
call, even after using /load to load settings from any file.

I am new to epic5, and am not familiar with epic4. If the ability to
browse input history using the keys used within the shell is not a
feature, or if those key combinations are reserved keybindings within
the client, then please excuse this report and accept my apologies.

Thank You,

Mike Park
