I'm unsure if this was answered so to the O.P, something like this below could
be added to the Manual:-
In LMMS's confiuration setting the Sync VST plugins to host playback will force
a VST ( instrument or effect ) that has it's own internal midi clock to be
synced to LMMS's master clock. This will make sure that a VST plugin is running
at the same tempo as the LMMS song.
