Currently, we're just using udev, so if the device doesn't issue an event for a media insertion, then the media's not detected. Some card readers DO, and that's why they work properly. As part of LTSP5, instead of only handling udev, we could look at using HAL, which CAN be set up to poll these kinds of devices. However, as Jim alluded to, there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything. Scott So is there nothing I can do to try to make it work w/ the reader I've got? Could you recommend a reader that works and handles Compact Flash cards?
