This will automatically install zhmetrics when installing/updating LyX.
I decided to include this change in my LyX 1.6.6 installer to provide a usable
InstantPreview. OK with you?
Yes, it is OK as an ad hoc solution for the 1.6.6 installer. However,
we should probably investigate a bit more whether there is a more
appropriate solution is available (for 1.6.7 and trunk).
I did some further tests today and instaling the zhmetrics solves another long standing isse:
InstantPreview was never able to create previews in the Math manual (even not in LyX 1.4 and MiKTeX
2.5). Now, having the zhmetrics installed, InstantPreview works perfectly with all our documentation
files, with MiKTeX 2.7 as well as with 2.8.
What about Instantpreview in LyX 1.6.6 on Linux and Mac? Does it work for all our documentation
files. If so, does your LaTeX distribution contains a file in the form of c70***.fd?
PS. please post to the list (not to PM) if you have the installer
