Yes, I do think I understand and you make good points. Qt 5.6 has the
advantages that:

1. You tested it and it works well for you.

2. It is faster for you.

3. It has long-term support.

I hope you can understand the opinions of others that there are
disadvantages of using Qt 5.6:

1. It requires switching compilers. I personally don't know much about
the dangers of this, but some LyX developers do know a lot about this
topic and they are worried. If someone knows more than I do about a
topic, I trust them more than I do myself.

2. Although you tested and it works for you, no one else has tested.
