As the gentleman before says, you need the kernel sources (or at least
the include files) and the symbolic link there.
One observation I do have is that you may want to use either a 2.0 or 2.2
kernel - as at some point you are more than likely going to need headers
which are present in the latter versions but not in 1.2.x series kernels.
