Thank you very much! It's good to hear that it should be easy to get PostScript-type diagrams into LyX documents. I can also live with pressing a key to update the PostScript file and using gv with "Watch File" - that's exactly what I do now when writing PostScript documents, after all! I'll make the time to try out switching to LyX for document preparation, then. I'm also checking out OpenOffice's word-processor, although WYSIWYM seems intellectually attractive.
