I can confirm this behaviour partly. The startscript won't work for OOH680_m4. Even if you confirm the time-out with OK OOo won't start. However if I use open "/Applications/OpenOffice.org\ 2.4.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice &" OOH680_m4 starts up and the main window appears.
