I'll underclock in Windows and report back. The Omega drivers I use already
come with ati tray tools so it's no big deal. Usually these types of things
are loaded with the OS so I doubt It'll stick under Linux. We'll see.
The vmware idea is interesting. You'd probably have to keep your VM running
the whole time to keep it underclocked, otherwise you'll probably hit the
same snag with loosing your settings once you shut down your virtual
machine.
