Hi Jon,

I'm very sorry to hear this. I think peole should really listen to
your advice. I was not as willing to risk my 2000 euro investment so
I've only been using OS X and have been trying to turn it into a
usable Unix (I'm hoping to take the chance to learn some *BSD
commands). If their X implementation was just slightly better quality
(and supported compositing) it wouldn't matter so much but its kind of
jerky. Its not a bad OS (certainly compared to windows) but when i
switch to Linux every once in a while I really feel what I've been
missing.

If Apple gives you another 2,2 instead of Nvidia you might want to
consider just selling it unopened (should be able to get almost cost)
and just get yourself another laptop. Its a terrible shame cause
these machines look great and have a lot of other nice features
including the ability to use OS X if needed but I'm certainly not
going to be an OS X user the rest of my life.

cheers,
Sheer
