Actually I've been using it for a while now in a google/mapbuilder/openlayers application I've attached the /lib/util/cscs/lib/defs file for 900913 (obviously it should be .js in stead of .txt)

Previously we have had problems matching the Google projection with other WMS projections. Well, after chatting with a Google friend I've discovered that people have reverse engineered Google's projection, and have created a new EPSG code for it. Apparently this code has been incorporated into Geoserver and Mapserver, so you can now request a WMS layer in the same projection as Google and therefore match a WMS layer with a Google Base map layer.
Just use EPSG:900913 (note, the number looks very similar to EPSG:google).

// Google Mercator projection
// Used in combination with GoogleMercator layer type in OpenLayers
//+proj=merc +a=6378137 +b=6378137 +lat_ts=0.0 +lon_0=0.0 +x_0=0.0 +y_0=0
+k=1.0 +units=m [EMAIL PROTECTED] +no_defs

csList.EPSG900913= "\
  +title= Google Mercator EPSG:900913\
  +proj=merc +a=6378137 +b=6378137 \
  +lat_ts=0.0 +lon_0=0.0 \
  +x_0=0.0 +y_0=0 +k=1.0 \
  +units=m [EMAIL PROTECTED] +no_defs \
