Hi John,

The MSXML ActiveX control is part of any IE 5.5+ setup. However with IE7 the security model has changed and you need to click on allow at the information bar of the browser. So you don't need to add anything in mapbuilder or the server. Although it might be that you need to configure IE to allow for ActiveX at all.

Steven

Andreas,

Thanks for the information.

You mentioned "Mapbuilder 1.5-alpha2 does run on IE7, but you will have to allow it
to use the MSXML ActiveX control."
My question is how do you allow it use MSXML ActiveX control. Does already exist within IE 6+ and 7+ or does it have to be downloaded from Mapbuilder on the server to the IE client.

Thanks,

John Mitchell

Hi,

not know about older versions of Mapbuilder.

You should definitely go for 1.5. A release candidate will be released
around Dec. 15 this year, with many enhancements and exciting new
features compared to 1.0.1. The final 1.5 release can be expected in
early 2008 (Jan/Feb).

Andreas.
