The reason we don't have more to discuss in the U.S. in terms of ongoing movements isn't due to some act of God. American radicals have had a myriad of opportunities to accomplish things in the U.S. It is astonishing that they actually haven't even been able to come close to figuring out what needs to be done to hold together something like Occupy--or to build a movement out of the mass discontent over the militarization of the police and the quite war waged on black youth.
