We've heard this "true danger of fascism" argument every election in my lifetime. Aside from his record-level miserable character, Trump's been able to be as awful as he has been precisely because the Democrats have been playing dead for decades. All this current hoo-haa about the Supreme Court is taking place because the Democrats under Obama didn't fill the seat they had open. True, they asked, but the Republicans said no, so . . . . But all of this comes from the central Democratic strategy, which they've pursued religiously for the last 30-40 years. Indeed, the only Democratic strategy . . . .
