As for an example... I don't think a port of friendbook would be helpfull in this case. Maybe we should think of something else that shows the Jelly trick. I thought about the same, and I also think that it would be pretty easy to do. Let's do two implementations: yours and mine. Then we can combine the work (the best parts from each - or just choose the better) and offer it to Jeff. I think that this way we both can learn more about Jelly and get familiar with it. The first implementation does not need to be fancy or full working, but the ground for us to start enchanging it together. What do you think? I have no questions so far as I really don't know what it is going to be, but I think that I can start writing my version today (or tomorrow).
