Summary: Use of glFog with GLSL vertex shaders in OSMesa
Product: Mesa
Version: 6.5
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: Mesa core
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
When fog is enabled when using vertex AND fragment shaders with OSMesa, it
appears that pixels are colored with the fog color. When the vertex shader is
removed, this behavior ceases. It appears that this behavior has been present
throughout the 6.5 Mesa series. The OpenGL 2.0 specification says, "Fog has no
effect if a fragment shader is active". ARB extention documentation indicates
that fragment shaders are responsible for fog calculations.
