My advice is if you need to connect and rebroadcast using a single frequency, you're looking at WDS or something mesh. If you are just looking to extend range and will have the new AP run back to the router via ethernet, just put it on the same SSID and use a different channel.

Roaming is controlled primarily by the client radio.

Just a 2.4 AP that I want to repeat. Was just seeing if I can do a
one-radio repeater type bridge thingy

We have done this with MT, Ubiquiti, Tranzeo, and others. The 2.4 does
not seem to interfere with a 5.7 at all. If the bandwidth requirements
are modest, you can build a bridge with a 5, or 10 MHz channel, which
reduces the chances of interference even more.

Was thinking single radio because I cant easily get a wire run back to
the main AP, don't want to interfere with myself if I use a 2.4 bridge
to connect to first AP, then stick another 2.4 up right next to it.

Also, didn't want to put a 5GHz card in the first Tik and one in
second
to create the "backhaul".

Sooooo... hoping that there is a simple way to deal with this.
