What advantage would building a live distro for Mixxx with Tiny Core
Linux have over my project or DidJiX?

Oh I don't know, probably none. :) I'm just impressed with Tiny Core's ability to boot to a GUI with basic tools (on a 3.16 kernel) from a 14.5MB image on a thin client with 50MB RAM and having about 5MB still free. That and the fact that the system returns to a pristine state on each reboot (yet can save user data to local drives or the network) is really nice.

I like the fact that your project aims to boot on ALL x86 computers!

How about I publish an initial version under the name Crossfade
GNU/Linux and then you can decide if it is of sufficient quality to
become an official Mixxx project, at which point we could reconsider
using the name Live Mixxx GNU/Linux?

That sounds like a good plan, especially since a few people have already commented that they like the name "Crossfade" for this. (I happen to as well.)

Looking forward to it!
