Re-hello. In msegui README.TXT there is:
"Internal character encoding is utf-16." Those '⑳' and '🚀' seems to be UTF8. (Huh, how to know if a character is UTF8 or UTF16 ?) Maybe completely stupid but could it possible that the '⑳' and '🚀' should first be converted into UTF16 to be rendered on a msegui memo-text? If yes, do you have a idea how to do this? Thanks. Hello Santi. > Could it be that the editor's font doesn't have those glyphs implemented? Hum, afaik, those '⑳' and '🚀' are not gliphs but UTF characters (or gliphs-characters ?). I understood (maybe I am wrong) that in UTF the length of each character (what you see) is variable. And with msegui in Linux (in Windows it seems ok) if the length of UTF char is > 2 then it is not rendered. For example, in Linux, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian, Greek UTF characters are correctly rendered. But it is not the case for Chineese or for Emodj. For '⑳' and '🚀' there is only a black-square. So msegui seems to be limited to UTF char with length <= 2. Could it be that the editor's font doesn't have those glyphs implemented? Do you have ideas how to do for length > 2, where to look, what to consider, etc, ... ? Thanks.
