Hi,
I created a macro which creates a process body (in VHDL), sort of like this:
---------
blabla: process ()
begin
end process blabla;
---------
My problem is, when I run this macro not being at the begining of a line,
I get wrong behavior (the "_____" are spaces):
------------------------this is what it should do:
_______blabla: process ()
_______begin
_______
_______end process blabla;
------------------------and this is, what it does:
_______blabla: process ()
begin
end process blabla;
------------------------
So the "Enter" doesn't react the way it should do,
but goes to the first position in the next line,
regardless where it was in the line before.
Is there a way to do this the right way, so I get the wanted behavior?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

When i open a file with the Windows-Explorer, the filename is correct in
Notepad++.
If I make Notepad++ the standard editor for FileZilla and open the same file
there, the filename gets convertet do lower case (not the path interestingly).
Saving may result in lower case filename which then is useless uploading to
a linux system.
Can somebody confirm this or have a solution for this problem?
regards,
Gunter

Hello,
I'd like to see future versions of NPP add support for syntax highlighting for
Microsoft Windows PowerShell
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/hubs/msh.mspx).

Is there any way to fold a selection? I.e., I select some freely chosen text
(no patterns for this) and want to fold it.
tx in advance ;)

I have the same problem with the user-defined Clipper language and with the
extension prg (OS WinXP). I've also excluded all other languages
(preferences->language menu) but nothing to do: every time the file with
extension
.prg is opened no document syntax highlight is visible and I have to reselect
it again.
Unfortunately neither my Clipper.api file doesn't work with word completion...
:-( It seems the words listed in autocompletion box are gotten from the same
file I'm editing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Vlad.

Hello,
I have a php file mixed with html code. Converting a code fragment into a
comment
would insert always the php comments (// or /* xx */)-- even if a have selected
html code.
is it possible for Notepad++ to use in such a case the html comment tags (<!--
xx -->) ?
Greetings, Carlos

Is there currently a way to have it save your bookmarks for the next time you
open a file?
For example: the name of the files xyz.txt. You place a bookmark at lines 125
and 1050. You close
the file. You re-open the file and the bookmarks at those lines come back.
If that isn't possible can that be added to the TODO list?

Is it possible to set style for PHP complex variables (e.g., "some {$variable}
value")?

I been using notepad++ and it is my faworite notepad. However from time to time
I'd need some extra functionalty...
My question is if it's possible to develop plugin with C#.net (what would be
much easyer for me than with c++).

Ehmm, I was going to switch from SciTE to notepad++, but it seems there's no
way to capture the output stream of a command line executable (tipically to
get compiler results, for example to get lines containing errors, etc...).
It is right? No way to use notepad++ as code editor?

In the dialog where you create the user-defined language, you may also enter
the file extensions corresponding to that language.
If the extension you enter is already taken by a predefined language, then
unfortunately the predefined language has priority. At present, the only way
I know to correct this is to open the langs.xml file in the NP++ install folder
and remove the extension from the predefined language.
I believe NP++ should give first priority to the extensions of the user-defined
languages. If a user is going to the trouble of creating a user-defined
language
and declaring an extension for it, then obviously the user wants that extension
to be used for the user-defined language.
Regards.
Greg
