In the zip version, you don't have to install anything, so it's nice if you
don't have rights on your computer or you want to use N++ in a USB Key.
But the installer add automaticaly the "Edit with N++" in the right-click menu
and that if you have multiple users on a computer, they can have their
own configuration of N++.

if you start NP++ by clicking the associated program file in your working
directory
then all opening and saving operations are addressed there.

first of all, there is no "UserDefineLang.xml"
secondly, even if i created a file named "UserDefineLang.xml" and copy the user
language definition to it, npp cannot recognize fortran 90 (i guess npp cannot
load this UserDefineLang.xml).

I see no CSS, JS, or TXT in File-->Open, though I do see them in the Language
menu. I have searched the threads here, the Settings, and the FAQ to no avail.
I suspect it is simply that I do not understand what you mean when you say,
"adding a language," and truly, "how to do it." I need, simply, to add an item
to File-->Open. I would sincerely appreciate someone's kind assistance.

Note that there're 2 Scintilla controls, so check the one you disable the

Hi,
I wanted to show you a small bug in npp. If you edit a new document and you
click on "save". Then you click on cancel. After that the modified-flag of the
document is set to "false" and you were not asked to save on closing the
program. I hope that information can help you to find the bug.

Rename "plugins" directory to "plugins.bak" then try again.
