Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)
------------

     12/2: Not exactly the complex but close enough; a single HOARY REDPOLL was 
seen at the Cayuga Lock at the north end of Cayuga Lake.
     12/3: 33 SANDHILL CRANES were seen at Knox-Marsellus Marsh.


Onondaga County
------------

     11/26: A lone BRANT was seen on Gatehouse Pond on Rt. 80 near Tully. 
     11/27: 2 SAW-WHET OWLS were seen on the Bog Trail at Beaver Lake Nature 
Center. One or two Saw-Whets have been seen off and on during the week. An 
AUDUBON’S YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was found in with eastern Yellow-Rumps on the 
Onondaga Lake Creekwalk near Carousel Center. 8 EVENING GROSBEAKS were found on 
West Lake Road near Deruyter Resevoir.
     11/29: The AUDUBON’S WARBLER on the Onondaga Creek Creekwalk was refound 
and photographed. A very late WILSON’S WARBLER, reported last week, was refound 
ald also photographed.
     11/30: The WILSON’S WARBLER was again seen on the Creekwalk but the 
AUDUBON’S WARBLER was not relocated. 2 SAW-WHET OWLS were again seen at Beaver 
Lake Nature Center. The adult male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD continues at a feeder on 
Pendergast Road in Phoenix.
     12/1: An immature BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was found on the Onondaga Lake 
Creekwalk between Bear Street and Hiawatha Boulevard.
     12/2: RED CROSSBILLS were heard flying over a residence in Pompey.


Oswego County
------------

     11/27: Single COMMON REDPOLLS and PINE SISKINS were seen at a feeder in 
Williamstown. A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen on Miner Road in Scriba.
     11/29: COMMON REDPOLLS were seen in Mapleview.
     12/3: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was found on Rt. 6 near Darrow Road. One TRUMPETER 
SWAN, perhaps injured, remains at the County Rt .6 wetlands in Volnay.


Cayuga County
------------

     12/3: An EURASIAN WIGEON was seen in the pond at Fairhaven State Park. A 
PURPLE SANDPIPER was at the end of the east breakwall on the south side.


Madison County
------------

     11/26: 2 adult and 2 young TUNDRA SWANS were seen on Tuscarora Lake north 
of Erieville. They were seen again the next day.
