Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City

While yesterday's male Hooded Warbler was not seen or heard this day, a male Mourning Warbler was, at the Loch, most of the singing from this migrant being before 7 a.m. - also present as migrants were a couple of Blackpoll and 1 Magnolia Warbler, plus American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat and a good variety of species that breed, or already have nested this spring in the park. Lots of Cedar Waxwing activity all around, & the 3 regularly-breeding flycatchers each seen on territories: Great Crested Flycatcher, E. Kingbird, & E. Wood-Pewee.

A quiet walk was key to noticing some of the above.

good birding,
