Monday, 6 June, 2016 Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City
While yesterday's male Hooded Warbler was not seen or heard this day, a male Mourning Warbler was, at the Loch, most of the singing from this migrant being before 7 a.m. - also present as migrants were a couple of Blackpoll and 1 Magnolia Warbler, plus American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat and a good variety of species that breed, or already have nested this spring in the park. Lots of Cedar Waxwing activity all around, & the 3 regularly-breeding flycatchers each seen on territories: Great Crested Flycatcher, E. Kingbird, & E. Wood-Pewee.
A quiet walk was key to noticing some of the above. good birding, Tom Fiore Manhattan -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
