Montezuma National Wildlife Complex (MNWC) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC) ----------- 12/13: One CATTLE EGRET was seen on East Tyre Road. No report since this day. 12/14: 40 SANDHILL CRANES were seen in the Armitage Road fields. A SHORT-EARED OWL was noted on the Waugh Raptor site at the west end of Tschache Pool in a restricted area. 12/18: 60 TRUMPETER SWANS were seen on the Wayne County side of Armitage Road. Onondaga county------------ 12/12: A FOX SPARROW was seen in Oakwood Cemetery in Syracuse. 12/16: An EASTERN TOWHEE was seen at a feeder on Valley Drive in Elbridge. 12/17: The Syracuse Christmas Count was held this day. Highlights were: HERMIT THRUSH - Erie Canal Trail near Green Lakes. RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET - Inner Harbor near Destiny. ICELAND GULL - East Shore Trail on Onondaga Lake RUSTY BLACKBIRD - Erie Canal Trail Fayetteville. Oswego County------------ 12/13: A CACKLING GOOSE was seen at Sandy Pond on Lake Ontario. 12/14: A PINS SISKIN was seen at a feeder on Hinman Road north of Pulaski. 12: 18: The Oswego Christmas Count was held this day. Hig˙lights were: OREGON JUNCO GRAY CATBIRD - Gardenier Road north of SUNY Oswego FISH CROW - Minetto SNOWY OWL - Oswego county Airport on Howard Road. BLACK-LEGGED KITTYWAKE - Indian Point north of Fulton on Oswego River. LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL - Fulton GLAUCOUS GULL - Oswego Harbor ICELAND GULL - Oswego Harbor. 12/19: A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen at the Lock in Phoenix. Madison County------------ 12/18: A SANDHILL CRANE continues at the intersection of Gee Road and Ditchbank Road north of Chittenango.
