I had to travel to Lake Placid today. I stopped at the causeway in Tupper
Lake on my way back in late afternoon. From other birders at the causeway:
The Ross's Gull was observed between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. north of the boat
launch, but not observed in the afternoon (unless it was found after I
left). Jack Delehanty drove by with his mother Charlcie and mentioned that
he has Walleye eggs for the gull! The Ross's Gull appears to be ranging
from the boat launch to the causeway and to Jack's house - about a 2.5 mile
range. The channel has closed up quite a bit, but there is still some open
water near the bridge.

It was nice to run into Stacy and Mark Robinson and to see other familiar
faces and meet new people. But it was brutally cold on that open causeway
in the wind - dress warm if you go!
