Folks help is needed to protect critical shorebird habitat. The rain puddles at Miller Field on Staten Island are being drained by a contractor who was hired by NPS. The contractor said that they were told that there were no nesting birds there or anything else of concern by NPS and Fish and Wildlife. Please can everyone get involved and email to help stop this.
