Great thread. So many interesting topics to explore at a BoF. Here are some thoughts related to broadening our skills set and transforming the project from open source development to open source product design and development. In support of the community development goals, perhaps the discussion could also explore academic partnerships. A strong academic partner can bring a variety of skills to the effort: business, technical and design. Could be a great win win relationship.
