uhm, please don't use that source, it is truly ancient.
There are basically two variants of OpenSG at the moment: the 1.x series 
(of which the dailybuild tarball you downloaded is an old snapshot) and 
2.0 (which does not officially have a release at this point).
There are a number of incompatible changes between 1.x and 2.0 and if 
you are starting a new project I would *highly* recommend using 2.0 as 
that is were development is happening.
Even if you have yo use 1.x, please use a CVS checkout [1] as there have 
been numerous bug and build fixes since the last release.
