ehmm...did you mean "instead of /usr/bin"? Most of the daemons are in /usr/lib.
I am somewhat curious why daemons don't live in /usr/sbin, but that
wasn't what I was getting at. Most of the Solaris daemons reside in a
subdirectory off /usr/lib (e.g., /usr/lib/fm/fmd). The intrd script
lives directly in /usr/lib, and I was curious why it wasn't placed in
/usr/lib/intrd/intrd. Do the developers use some type of standard
layout that places scripts in /usr/lib, and compiled daemons in
/usr/lib/<daemon_name>/?
