We had a discussion in the infra room on TheLounge: there is a long-standing infra spec request to offer such a service on our project infrastructure, and it would go a long way to solve the "default experience" as it provides a nice UI by default with "always connected" behavior that most people expect from such communication media those days.
The main blocker AIUI is to integrate it with some authentication mechanism(s)...
