Paul, Christian

I installed owshell, updated my scripts (as suggested -thanks) stopped owfs,
owhttpd, owsftp. (Have not updated owfs to the latest build)

I put a continuous loop in my read script without a pause and it was reading 8
values continuously for 1 hour. the SLUG top command showed a load of 2.9,
2.5, 2.6 which I think equates to 290% load ?.... At the same time I run the
cgi file multiple times from the web page. wow it is so much more stable than
owfs/fuse.

I will now progress to getting some outputs happening...was thinking of just
pulsing an LED via a script every 3 seconds for a couple of weeks prior to
going live. It will be interesting if I can extend my uptime...I think the
best I got from owfs/fuse was about 8-10 days, before I started to use multiple
read scripts.

thanks for the help guy's...I class myself as a user, (not developer or
programmer) every time I have an issue my application and knowledge gets
stronger. This allows me to develop my monitoring application further and
further.

cheers

  Sorry. It's located in owshell package.

  # ipkg install owshell

  I cannot find where on my slug owread and owwrite are located.....I assumed
they would of been in a bin directly

    There have been one fix which effects the USB adapter on the NSLU2 too..
(HAVE_INTERRUPT_READ wasn't detected correctly).

    I have recompiled owfs and created new ipk-packages which you can upgrade
too from sourceforge. (2.6p2-3). I'm not 100% sure about Paul's latest

    changes in the cvs if they are stable right now, but it seems to work for
me.

    It might also be some problem with fuse+owfs which you have found. You can
try the shell-commands and not use fuse at all.

    Try re-write the scripts like this and see if that works better.

    # cat cgi-script.sh

    #!/bin/bash

    etime=$(/bin/date)

    OWSERVER="-s 3002"
