Hi Guy, Thanks for sharing that, I am running something similar and in the process of migrating to RasPi. One problem I found is that with the repository version of owfs, 2.8p15-1 I see a couple of sensor directories which are empty. I installed the latest package and that was fixed. Did you have any problems with it?
I do like the idea of having a LCD display, I think I may add one to my setup.
