Looking at the 2483 "Typical App Circuit" that seems true.  I put the pullup on 
the 1wire bus line due to the 18b20 diagram "Powering the 18B20 with an 
External 
Supply". 
The circuit wiring  2483 (SOT 23 chip) to 18B20 (TO-92) is then:
Pin
1  SLPZ -> RPi 3.3V
2  SDA  -> RPi SDA
3  SCL  -> RPi SCL
4  GND  -> RPi GND -> DS18B20 Pin 1 GND
5  IO   -> DS18B20 Pin 2 DQ
6  Vcc  -> RPi 5V  -> DS18B20 Pin 3 Vdd
