Wow, looking at these programs, I'm lost with all the decoding stuff being
talked about. I just want good quality files like mkvmaker nice, but can't
get it to work, friend just click on the bd and it went and looks and sounds
great. Can anyone offer any more help in this area?

Hi Jim and all,
I don't know much about bluray ripping, but there's a program called AutoMkv
that can help you to rip a dvd into mkv format. For demuxing streams from a
bluray a command line software called eac3to should do the job.
