This may not apply in the least, I am still using XP, but I noticed absolutely no difference in the response in the menus after upgrading to the latest and greatest version. I also admit to being way behind on my version of WE (7.2), but remember the days not too long ago when the menus were totally responsive. Most likely there is nothing for it but to upgrade and come into the 21st century, and maybe that will soon be in the offing, but right now, these menus drive me nuts, and I rather dread having to use them, which fortunately isn't such a usual occurrence since most of my recording of late is in background.
