Wow! Are you using their satellite distro ? What version of the beagleboard are you using ? 72 ms is definitely unusable for realtime effects. I can't seem to find any info about the latency they achieve and this is a bit strange. A low latency is a sine qua non condition if one wants to build a stompbox.
