[*~] multiplying an audio signal (like the output of [readsf~]) will "amplify" the signal. using [line~] to ramp it is very important if you care for smooth gain changes (most people do; and many people don't know that they can use [line~] for this - you are obviously among the blessed that do know) a classical "gain section" in your patch would look like: [nbx\ | [dbtorms] | [pack 0 50] | [line~] input signal | | [*~ ] | output signal gfmrdsa IOhannes
