A note of caution when saving your files in Photoshop... be careful
if you use the "save as a copy" option when you're used to just
saving your file under a different name.

Yesterday I saved a file after preparing it for printing, and I'd
used "save as a copy" to save it to another location.

When I quit Photoshop after printing the file, I got the usual "do
you want to save your changes?" dialog, to which I instinctively
chose "yes"... uhh, "no"... nooooooooo!

In a few moments, my nice 200Mb layered PSD was overwritten by a 50Mb
resized, flattened, processed-for-printing version. After I stopped
swearing I realised it's not so bad, maybe half an hour added to my
next batch of scanning & processing. But boy did I feel dumb... at
least it wasn't medium format.

Now excuse me while I reminisce about the versioning filesystem of
VMS... while also thinking about how far behind my photo backups are.
