Pentax embeds a Jpeg in every raw.  A fast browsing algorithm could take 
advantage of them.  That said, it would mean additional exception coding 
in any software designed to work with more than one companies raw 
files.  It's extra work that most likely won't be done by anyone other 
than Pentax.
