Thanks Godfrey. The closer to the horizon, the more interesting the atmospheric effects, but sharpness is lost. I just shot when I happened to notice that the moon was visible from my front yard, but I think I lucked out in getting some of the close to the horizon color but not a lot of atmospheric distortion.
