I wouldn't say I prefer grain. I'm ambivalent. I almost always shoot in TAV 
mode because the light varies greatly depending on where the birds perch. This 
shot is in brighter light, and I used some flash fill. So much lower ISO than 
the sparrow pic. No converter, handheld. Just for my personal amusement.
