You are right, but I am sure that the shading is dominantly caused by
the hood.
It is not in the corners but away from the corners, clearly due to the
pedal shaped hood.
The corners start vignetting at approx 13mm

discover that doesn't fix the problem, you'll be mighty pissed. :)
