Mabry Mill is one of the highlights of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.

I had not been there in the better part of 20 years, even though it is about a 65 mile drive from home. It is the most photographed location on the Parkway. Because I was there before the 01-May opening of the mill and its visitor center I did not have to compete with a lot of other visitors, and during the time that I was there (a couple of hours as I took the grand walking tour of the site) I was probably the only visitor with (what I consider) a real camera, and certainly the only one there with a tripod, filters, and so forth.
